From The South - Follow the coast road to Carrickfergus and continue straight through staying on the coast road for another five miles, heading for Whitehead. When you arrive at Whitehead you will see Petrol Station on the right and a road just after it called Cable Road. Go past this and take the next right at the Bentra Grill (Slaughterford Road) where you will see a smaller petrol station on the left on the main road. Follow this road down and over a hump-back bridge. Take the first left, following the sign for Islandmagee, and follow it four hundred yards to the end of the road where you will turn left again. You are now on the Ballystrudder Road. Sycamore Cottage is about eight hundred yards along and is the third house on the left. There is a knee high stone wall along the front of the house and a big tree stump (15ft tall). Whatever you do don’t drive into the driveway as it is very difficult to turn in.  Just leave your car in either of the two gaps at the front of the house.
